Jen takes on Whiting

IMG_0112

“Hey, you want to ride this week I need to get my butt kicked?” – Jen
“Sure, let’s go around Whiting and you can take on Mustard Hill.” – Me

Chris and I decided to show Jen around Whiting today. She was looking for something to give her legs a workout, and Whiting definitely fit the bill. She did a good job today only walking a few technical sections and some of Mustard. Not bad for a fairly new rider!

Ride The Divide

IMG_0071

The gang headed to the Newport Beach Film Festival tonight to check out, Ride The Divide. An award-winning feature film about the world’s toughest mountain bike race, which traverses over 2700 miles along the Continental Divide in the Rocky Mountains. The film weaves the story of three characters’ experiences with immense mountain beauty and small-town culture as they attempt to pedal from Banff, Canada to a small, dusty crossing on the Mexican border. The film gave us a great look at the physical and mental torture the group that took on this “race” endured. If you didn’t make it to the premier, check out the website and order the DVD. Good stuff!

Canon s90

I have been debating picking up a new pocket camera for the past year. I LOVE my Canon SD800IS which has kept me from spending money on anything else. What I have noticed the SD800IS is lacking, are manual controls. I never thought I would need or want this in a pocket camera but I do. I only shoot in Manual mode these days using my DSLR’s so why not have that option in my pocket as well.

The top reasons why I purchased the Canon s90 over the competition:
